Happy New Year everyone. I made this super quick card for the daughters of one of my good friends. We spent the day with them yesterday, playing, laughing and just enjoying each other's company. The girls gave our kids Christmas gifts and I thought it would be great if we made them a very simple card. I used Create-A-Critter. The toad is cut at 3 1/2". Enjoy!

A Special Card for my sis
I know it's been a few days since my last post. I've been super busy. I had a large order for cards for a 75 year birthday. I made some more Christmas cards and I wanted to share this very special card. One of my creative inspirations is Dorcas at 4 Crafty Angels. She has an incredible name, right?
She had a great idea for this card using the Sweethearts cartridge. I simply changed the colors and used it for my sis for Christmas. I used Crystal Gel for the helmet and shoes to give them more texture and I embossed the sentiment which is Stampin Up.
Dee has a Jazzy that helps her get around and we played chicken at Target the other day (she won)...and this card was just perfect. If you want to see Dorcas's card click here.

Cute Baby Card
I created this cute baby girl card just for fun. I used paper I bought at JoAnn's...but I can't remember which one.
Gabriel's Graduating
My nephew, Gabriel, is graduating from Lee University tomorrow. He's an amazing young man who has really held it together. My sister and I will be travelling to celebrate with our older sister and family. We are so proud of him! I created these two cards, inspired by Robyn at My Pink Stamper. :)
the graduation cap is cut at 2 3/4" from the Locker Talk cartridge. Inspired by Robyn at My Pink Stamper. |

Fruity Weekend with Preserves
I did a lot of work on the Cricut this weekend. My friend, Jessi, at http://pinadulce.wordpress.com/ wanted me to come up with a pineapple. I used Preserves to cut this pineapple out. I also just embellished with Stickles. Fun! Jessi loved it!
Trust in the Lord
One of my favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 3:5-6. It reads, "Trust in the Lord, with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. But in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path." I have a friend who's facing tough times with her mom. I made her this card to remind her that God is always there. The sentiment is My Pink Stamper's Faithful Sayings stamps set. Thanks Robyn!!! :)

Winter Blog Hop
Let me tell you. I have been learning so much over the last couple of weeks. Thanks to my friend, Liz, who explained what a blog hop was in the first place. I have been "hopping" along and getting to know other wonderful ladies.
Today there is a Snowy Winter Blog Hop sponsored by Dorcas at 4Crafty Angels.blogspot.com. She is amazing and everyone else is absolutely awe inspiring!

Sweet Treat Thank You
My friend, Jessi, was kind enough to bake cupcakes for our Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk Open House. I lost my father to complications from this disease on September 3, 2010 and we are all committed to making a difference for future generations. I made this sweet card for Jessi. She loved it!!!
Wedding Card Designs
Love is in the air lately. Weddings are just amazing events these days. I decided to play with a new set of Stampin Up Stamps. This is what I came up with. Gotta LOVE embossing techniques. These can be custom made in any color. Let me know if you're interested.
