Celebrate

Hi. I'm on a roll!

I made this card tonight.  I used one I saw on My Chic N Scratch as a guide.  I don't have that stamp set, but I decided to let it inspire me a little bit.  I played around with some different ideas, but came back tot his one.  I don't have a whole lot of ink colors, so I had to make changes to the design to use the ink that I have on hand.

I used some scrap paper, my nestabilities, floss, and Outlined Occasions from Stampin Up.  The ink is also Stampin Up.  I kind of like how it turned out

Beautiful Dress Card

Hi friends,

Today is April 17th!  You know what that means?  It means the official end to another tax season!  I work for my sister and we have a large client base of 450 corporate clients and a few hundred personal clients. This time of year is very tough for us and for our families.  Thank goodness it is over!!!

I sat in my office and made a few little projects. I'll share them one at a time. My first share is a dress card.  I have a few blogs that I check out regularly and one of them is Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho.  She is fantastic and very creative.  I love to see all that she comes up with.  Well, I decided to learn how to make this little dress card.  I didn't make it identical to hers, but I found what I thought would work and I like how it turned out.  I think it makes a cute Mother's Day Card.

Hope you have a great week.

I used Stampin Up for the base.  The patterned paper is Me & My Big Ideas.  I used Ranger Ink Liquid Pearls and the textile embossing plate for the Cuttlebug.

MPS Mother's Day blog hop & Challenge

Good morning friends,

I know I've been behind on blogging.  The silver lining is that tax season is over in TWO days, so I will be able to devote more time to my love of crafting...and plan to venture out into other fun projects that I see you all making.

Last night I was surfing - very late - and found that Robyn was hosting her blog hop. I normally don't do the challenges because I'm too chicken, frankly.  Well, since it had been a while since I'd been able to make anything fun, I went ahead and played along.  This is my Mother's Day themed SUPER SIMPLE card.  I intended to make a little purse to match, but then I got sleepy and well...the rest is history.

The sentiment is from MPS Family & Friends.  The ink is Stampin UP Island Indigo.  The patterned paper is Me & My Big Ideas.  Base is Bashful Blue by SU.  Stickles is Waterfall.

Have a great day!
