Super quick note card

Hi friends,

I am here to share this week's rumple ribbon project. My mom loves stationery.  She loves anything paper-related or office-related.  Let me explain - she is brilliant...and only got to 5th grade.  You could never tell, though.  She keeps up with the best of them.  I decided I'd make her a set of note cards.  This is what I came up with.

I used the lovely Sunset ribbon to make a flower.  Be sure to stop by the Lovebug Store to pick up your rumple ribbon. I assure you...you will LOVE what you receive.  Plus, our creative team is full of wonderfully talented ladies that are just a cut above the rest and are eager to share ideas with you on a daily basis.  They are in a league of their own.  Each and every one of them.

Supplies:
Designer Paper:  K&Co Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse paper pad.
Base: Chocolate Chip by Stampin Up
Green Cardstock: Stampin Up Lucky Limeade.
Pink Detail Cardstock: Melon Mambo by Stampin Up

Hello, Hello!!!!

You know Wednesdays are my days to post on Lovebug Creations Blog and here I am sharing a new card I made using Caddy Blue and my Karber Stamp set.  My daughter decided to help color her in with colored pencils.  She even added highlights to the hair.
I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 10
The image and sentiment is from Karber Stamps.
Patterned paper is DCWV small paper pads
Solid cardstock is PTI and SU

Cupcake has Liquid Applique to make the frosting pop

Flowers are Stampin Up punch with a dot of stickles in the center
I used a quick technique on the ribbon...my flat iron!!!  I have very curly hair and I figured it's much faster to use a flat iron than to pull out the big iron to make the ribbon a tiny bit smoother.  I might have overdone it, but in person, you can see lots of crinkles in the ribbon.  Very pretty!

I sure hope you like my little creation for this week.

Being Thankful!

Hi Friends,

It's my day over at the Lovebug Creations Blog and I decided to make two cards using the Sunset and Green Leaves rumple ribbon colors.  I think that it's so important to properly acknowledge people when you appreciate them.  I always teach my kids to write a thank you card or to verbally say thank you when someone does something for them.  It can be "Thank you, Daddy for a great meal" (Don't hate me...he cooks and I don't), or "Thanks, Grandma, for coming to stay with us today."  I thought it fitting to make some appreciation cards.  I'm thinking about using them for Teacher Appreciation Day, unless I come across some other fabulous project.  We shall see.

Supplies:
Ribbon:  Stampin Up (don't know the color...it's on a dowel and I can't read it) and Lovebug Creations - Sunset and Green Leaves.
Buttons: Stampin Up
Base: Very Vanilla Cardstock by Stampin Up
DSP: Stampin Up retired, but still beautiful
Sentiment: My Creative Time: My Teacher Rocks and More of My Favorite Sayings
Twine: Liz's Paper Loft
Ink:  Gumball Green & Lucky Limeade by Stampin Up

May God be With You

Hi friends,

In August, I shared a post about a 100th birthday celebration for a dear Grandma at church.  Her daughter and granddaughters are very special to my family.  You can see the post HERE.  Grandma Ethel passed away on Saturday morning.  She is in her new home in heaven-and a BIG home it is, I'm sure.  Hopefully she'll get to meet my dad and Abuela up there.   While we have no doubt that she is with her Savior, we still hurt for her family who will no longer share their lives with her.

I made Lynnette (her daughter) a sympathy card.  Grandma Ethel was loved by many and Lynnette was an amazing daughter to her. She lived a very full and wonderful life.  God bless her.

*I couldn't get this picture to work. :(

Cardstock:  Georgia Pacific
Sentiment: CTMH
Mehndi Medallion - Papertrey Ink
