Headband Holder

Good morning friends!  Well, I should say Good Afternoon.

You may know that I have a 6 and 7 year old at home.  Cassie is 7 and turns 8 in July.  She loves headbands, but she doesn't love to put them away.  So, I find them all over the house.  I was websurfing for ideas on how to hold them when I came across this FABULOUS blog called Sew Fantastic.  She had an amazing tutorial on how to make a beautiful hanging headband holder.  Mine did not turn out as polished as hers did, but it still came out nice.  I used Tinkerbell fairies fabric because my sister purchased a new bedding set for her and it matches perfectly.  I'll post a picture below.  It came out cute right?  Not bad for a sewing-challenged woman like myself.  :)

This is her future comforter

I put lavender ribbon to hang it.

a shot without the headbands so that you can see it.  I need to find some flowers or something to cap it off.

picture of the fabric I used.  It was $5/yard at walmart.  I used a piece 15"x20"

her lamp.  should arrive soon.

Hello Kitty Birthday

Hi friends,

I know I don't get a chance to blog much lately.  I guess I haven't been crafting as much.  When I do, I forget to take the picture.  I'm such a mess lately.

You may remember that I was working on a Hello Kitty themed first birthday party for a friend's baby girl.  I wanted to share some of the things I made. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cricut cartridge. The solid paper is Stampin Up. You know I love Stampin Up.

Happy Mother's Day

Good morning!  Happy Mother's Day!!!  I hope you all have a wonderful day with your families.  I have been delayed in posting, but did want to share a couple of cards that I made for Mother's Day.  I still have three or four more to make, but I think we are going to have to do them in mass production.  I am a little worn out.  It's been a hectic few weeks.

This cut is from Country Life.  I found it in my cut stash and totally loved it.  The embossing folder is Textiles.

My sis is going on a cruise in two weeks.  I made her a card to go with her gift.    This is from Life's a Beach

My first Stamp Camp!

Hi friends!

Today I was lucky enough to attend my very first Stamp Camp hosted by Stampin Up.  I must say that my SU demonstrator, Norma, is amazing.  She lives in California and I live in Florida...but thanks to modern technology it's as if we are right next door.  I do have a little group of friends who are Stampin Up lovers and I can attend workshops and everything in South Florida.  Today was my first Stamp Camp.  I cannot tell you how much fun I had.  It was the best day - EVER!!!  I wanted to share my projects.  Hope you like.
I've included the materials at the end of this post.
This little purse was a gift from our demos.  It is a new die that is coming out on June 1st.

Hi friends,

I've been battling a terrible cold/cough/allergy who-knows-what for the last few weeks. I've been bed ridden.  It's been something terrible.  I have never felt as bad as I have these last few weeks.  Today I visited a doctor who gave me some great medical treatment and I'm looking forward to feeling well again...hoping that my ears return to the non-screeching state they once were...and that my voice returns to it's normal pitch.

On to my card.  My BFF's son is having baby #2.  They just found out it's a boy this time!  Her son is thrilled.  He's a big Green Bay Packers fan, so I went with a jersey card.  I bought the baby some super cute pajamas from Green Bay Packers fabric and thought a card would be great.

I had to kind of play with the cuts to make them look right.  It's a simple card...just cutting.
