Princess and Knight Tags

Hi everyone.

Busy weekend making stuff for Isabella's fourth. Today I made some tags that will be used to embellish goodie bags. I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the knight. He's cut at 4.5". The princess dress is from Once Upon a Princess cut at 5".

The tag is TBBM at 5"

Have a great week!

Renaissance Felt Banner

Hi everyone!

I made this banner for my grand niece who turns four next weekend. They are having a renaissance type party with knights and princesses so I thought I'd make a felt banner instead of just paper.

The crown is from Once Upon a Princess and was cut at 7" on brushed gold paper by Stampin Up.

The letters are Storybook cut at 2.90" on metallic paper. I decided to use Quick Dry Adhesive and I think it will hold ok. Gold Stickles on the crown and around the edges is the finishing touch.

Hope you like.

Birthday Card

Hi friends,

My friend, Norma, Pink Bling Crafter recently sent me some goodies to play with.  I was so happy to receive them but had not been able to play much.  Today I made a card for a special friend.  I used the Hostess Birthday Bakery stamp set.  I used this awesome talented lady named Melissa for inspiration. You can check her out on her Creative Treasure blog.  She's got some great projects!

Paper base is Papertrey Ink Kraft Cardstock.
The darker pink is PTI Raspberry Fizz
The light pink is from Stampin Up.
Black ink is Memento Tuxedo Black

I used all kinds of stickles and my SU markers.  I also used a new product that I recently got on the chocolate layered cake.  It's called Liquid Applique. YOu're supposed to heat it up to make it frothy, but I liked the creamy look it gives it. I'll have to create something else to try that technique on.

Hope you like.

Alayna's 2nd Birthday

Hi friends!
Last week I shared Alex's nautical-themed banner. I'm sharing now his sister, Alayna's. I had a good time making these rosettes. I used birthday bash and art philosophy on this project. The ladybugs on the end are on action wobbles. Also, the small ladybugs are from doodlecharms.

Her party was ladybug themed and it turned out super cute.

Enjoy!

Nautical Banner for Alex

Good morning!

Before I head off to church, I thought I'd share the banner that I finished up this morning for my GrandNephew (or is it Great Nephew?), Alex.  He turns one at the end of the month and my sister is hosting a nautical themed party for him.

I used Echo Park - 4th of July for the designer paper.  It is the one with the stars.  The other paper is by Pebbles called Let Freedom RIng.  It's an Independence Themed series, but it went well with the nautical theme.

I used Birthday Bash to cut out the banner and used Life is a Beach for the life preserver and the anchor.  I wanted to use some real cotton twine for the rope on the life saver.  Isn't that cute?  I also tied marine knots from the hemp and added it for interest.  My original idea was to use the wheel as a background, but it didn't look the way I had imagined...so I used something else to add a little detail to it.

The banner is Stampin Up Night of Navy.  Letters are Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy and White.

Hope you like!

Pillow Box Envelopes

Hi.  As promised, here are some pictures of the pillow box envelopes that went with the scroll invitations for Elizabeth.  I used Stampin Up and PTI cardstock.  The stamping on them is My Creative Time (center around the name) and Papertrey Ink.

There are more projects to follow for this.

Now...gotta run to make two banners for the grand niece and nephew.

Have a great weekend.

Scroll Invitations

Hi Friends,

I have been busy making some fun projects, but I have been super lazy to post...and to even photograph them.  I think the school schedule and life has gotten the last bit of energy in me.

Well...I'm back and ready to show you what I've been working on this weekend.  My niece and goddaughter, Elizabeth, turns 13 this year.  She wants to have her first boy-girl party and we came up with a Morocco themed event.  We are going all out...like we always do.  Everything to us is a "quince" in grand Cuban style.

I decided that invites should be beautiful scrolls.  After doing some snooping online, I found beautiful scrolls, but they are only sold in the Philippines . I thought I could come up with something cute on my own.

This is how they turned out.  WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE PILLOW BOXES THAT I AM USING FOR THE CASES.  Can't show them to you yet...they aren't done.  I will say, though, that they are turning out gorgeous!

Supplies:

  • 3/8" wooden dowels.  Original length was 48" and my hubby cut them down to 8" each
  • Wood dowel finials from craft store
  • Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
  • Hot Glue
  • FolkArt Enamel Acrylic Paint in Metallic Gold
  • DMC floss in Gold
  • Metallic gold ribbon 3/8"
  • Parchment Paper
I will say that these are labor intensive, but the end result is beautiful.  I sure hope you like.  Stay tuned. Tomorrow I'll try to post the envelopes that they will be housed in.

I blurred out their address.  I didn't ask their permission, so I thought I'd be safe and protect their privacy.

Check in with you tomorrow!!
