Dress Shirt Card

Happy Saturday, friends!

I was actually able to do a little card this morning before the kids got up.  You know, when the house is quiet and the coffee is brewing and nobody is calling your name or fighting, or throwing something inside the house.  :)

I made this card for my uncle.  I wanted to make a shirt of some kind and after I played a little bit, I came up with this.  I used Stampin Up DSP from last year.  The base is Stampin Up.  The sentiment is My Creative Time.  The inside and is cream linen from PTI.

I sure hope he likes it.  I'm going to come up with something else as well, just in case I change my mind.

Have a wonderful day!!

Action Wobbles

Hi friends,

Well, I have had my eye on Action Wobbles since I first heard about them last year.  Let me tell you...they were a little out of my budget.  BUT!!!!! I got an email with a discount on Amazon and I bought some a couple of weeks ago.

I had to make a card for my son's classmate who it celebrating his seventh birthday today!  He has a sports themed party.  Bryan was very helpful in making this card.  He designed it and picked out the paper himself.   It has no frills or anything, but that is exactly what he wanted  And...we got to use an Action Wobble!  Super adorable how those little springs work.  I wish I could post a video.  The ball bounces.  Very cute.

The base is Stampin up. The designer paper is all Echo Park.

Have a great day!

Hello Kitty invitation

Hi my friends,

I've been "thinking" of an invitation to make for my friend's daughter who turns one in May.  She showed me what she liked from a blog called Handmade by Odette.  I worked with what I had...and really couldn't figure out the purpose of the band around the card with the hello kitty, so I incorporated it a different way to also save paper.

I used Tempting Turquoise from Stampin Up.  The patterned paper is Me and My Big Ideas.  That paper is so thick.  I love it. The cut is from Hello Kitty Greetings at 3".

I'm still trying to figure out a good way to keep the band closed...I used a glue dot, but don't know if that will work or not.

Hope you like.

Hanging Out with PTI

Hi friends,

I got to play this morning with my new Papertrey Ink stamp and die set called Hanging Out. You can find it here

I have mentioned how uninspired I've been feeling, so I had to use other work as a starting point.  My sister needed a cute card for a baby and I wanted to use this set, so this is what I came up with.

The ink is all StampinUp and PTI (black) and the paper is also Stampin Up .  The designer paper is DCWV.  Twine from someone on ebay (sorry).  I hope you love it.

My inspiration came from THIS forum on Papertrey Ink.

Cupcake Shape Card

Hi friends!

Well, I've been having some crafter's block lately...probably because most of my attention is based on my real job in an accounting office.  This time of year is very trying on us.

I went to our favorite cake shop and ordered some yummy guava and cream cheese cupcakes.  For those of us who are Cuban, this is a staple fruit in our heritage.  We love guava and always pair it with cream cheese.  Well, this baker makes delicious cupcakes.

I decided I wanted to share some with some friends who I am very fond of.  I made a card to go along.  I really wanted to put a sentiment on it, but I was in a rush.

Paper is all Stampin Up...except for card base which is white PTI.  I cut the cupcake from Create a Critter and used my gypsy to weld it together.  It's cut at 4". I hid the face on the layer and then ran it through the embossing folder.  I had to add some stickles...you know me.  I also added some chalk in pink to give it some dimension.   I used the Martha Stewart score board and made some marks on the wrapper so that it would look more real.  It came out cute.  I hope you can see it.  I actually made two of these...one has a blue ribbon.

Have a great weekend.
