Pink Bling Crafter giveaway

Hi everyone,

I know I have been MIA the last few days.  I work in an accounting office...and it's tax season.  The month of January is very challenging.  I have been dying to sit in my craft room and play with all of my new toys!!!!

Anyhow...I'm posting a great giveaway on my friend, Norma's blog.  She's my SU demonstrator and she is a great friend!  I love her to pieces!  Check it out.  It's pretty good.

MIckey Banner

I recently made a super cute Mickey banner.  She had professional pictures done of it this weekend so that I could post on Etsy. It's such a cute banner!

I used Mickey Font and had a great time making it!

Kiss Me

Hi everyone,

Still playing with my new stamp set by My Creative Time called 100% Sweetness.  This stamp set has so many things on it.  I love it.

I wanted to use the classic valentine's colors, so I went with a damask patterned paper from JoAnn's and red from Stampin Up.  I think it's Riding Hood Red, but I'll have to check.  The ink is PTI and the lips are covered with glossy accents to make them look like lip gloss.  The scalloped circle was interesting.  I didn't want the usual circle over scallop look, so I cut a hole in a piece of cardstock and then cut the scallop around it.  I ran it through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.  It was just enough for the sentiment to be seen through it.  Naturally, I just HAD to add Stickles in red.  Just HAD to.  I love this card!

Have a great day!!!

100% Sweetness

Hi everyone,

I've been playing with my new stamp set from My Creative Time.  This one is called 100% Sweetness.  I love Emma's stamps.  I love how this little set turned out.  I have been leaning towards the coral/tan colors lately.  The paper here is Kraft paper by PTI and Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip by Stampin Up.  The hearts have stickles to make them pop and the chocolate was covered in Glossy Accents.  I love that I found glossy accents in a tiny bottle (like Stickles).  This makes it much easier to work with and it doesn't dry out or cause a mess.

I left one of these on the plain side so that it could be given to a male.  The other one has some ribbon on it that could be used for either a male or female.  I really love this color combo. If I were getting married again, I would definitely use these.  (Thank goodness I already found my Prince, right?)

More Valentines to come tomorrow featuring this set.

A Love Note

Hi friends,

I hope you've gotten a lot of crafting done lately.  Honestly...I think I've lost my mojo.  Let me know if you find it.  ha!

In all seriousness, I think I'm burned out lately or something.  It's hard to think of something beautiful.  I sat down tonight looking at paper and thinking of how to make a great card for two friends who got engaged over Christmas.  I thought of a play on a love note and came up with this little card.

The paper is Stampin Up Very Vanilla and the red is also Stampin Up (I don't know the color...help me out, Norma!!).  The patterned paper is something I picked up at Joann's a while ago.  It has such a pretty sheen to it.  The ribbon is very thin, just 3mm, so I doubled up.  The inside has Congrats from Papertrey Ink and the ink is Pure Poppy from PTI

I hope you like this.  It's very pretty in person

Valentine's Day

Hi friends,

Here we are again - Valentine's Day is drawing near, so it's time to make cards!!  (As if we needed an excuse).

Well, I have not had much time lately to sit and just craft just for the enjoyment of it, but I did sit at my desk for a little while to play with My Creative Time's 100% Sweetness set.  I'm really happy that I got it.  I created this card because I received one similar to it at Christmas time.  My sister bought me a card from Papyrus and it was pretty.  So pretty, in fact, that I kept it so that I could reproduce it next year.

This is a simple card to make.  I used the hearts on Sweethearts and cut two of them at 2".  I chalked around the edges some to make it more interesting.  The ink is Pure Poppy by Papertrey Ink and the sentiment is My Creative Time.

Rock Star Banner

Hi friends,

I've had two huge projects going on lately and I have not had much time to blog. So sorry.  I will try to get with the program.

Last night I worked on a beautiful banner for a little boy who is celebrating his first birthday.  He is my sister's nephew. (okay...my brother-in-law's nephew).  I used Indie Art for the guitars and I free cut the banner at 6"x6".  The red layer is 5" x 5".  The letters, number and stars are all from Birthday Bash.  I really love how this turned out.  I hope they love it!

Crafty Kids!

First of all - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  I hope that we all have some amazing creative streaks in 2012 and that the IRS allows us to use crafting expenses as medical reimbursement write offs.  It is, after all, therapy for many of us.  Can you tell I work in an accounting office?  HA!!!  Okay...back to reality now.

My 7 year old, Cassie, is very artistic.  Today she saw that I had taken down a plain "C" that was painted black in my office.  She asked me if she could decorate it.  I painted it hot pink for her...and she took stickles and went to town.  She did a great job!  The only thing I had to do was hot glue the flowers and sew the floss onto the buttons.  She told me exactly where she wanted everything.  Not too shabby for a little kid.  She plans on hanging it up on her wall somewhere.  The best part is that she asked me for a "B" since she and Bryan share a room.  She thinks he should have a letter too.  Such a kind-hearted little girl, I tell you.  (when she's not beating him up, that is).  Did I mention they are 11 months apart?  Yes...don't blink.  ELEVEN MONTHS.

I've been working on some very nice invitations and haven't had much time to surf or blog, but I promise to have a sample on here later this week if not today.
