Hey friends!  Is anyone still out there?

Well, I am thankful that I'm still able to work and feed my crafting obsession. Life has gotten the best of me, but I'm still here chugging along.

School began yesterday.  You know that always brings lots of new adventures.  My kids are now in 6th and 5th.  A middle schooler in the house!  Fortunately, God has blessed me with two children who are kind and sweet and I am completely blessed to have them.

I'm committed to upkeeping the blog more frequently. I do craft often, but with technology, my phone is the only source of photos...which makes it tough to post them.  I will come up with a solution soon!

And they finally wed!

HI everyone.  I know it's been ages since I last posted.  I've been super busy with parties and work and life.  But I have been busy crafting away.

Yesterday my nephew, Joshua, married his sweetheart Cassandra.  They had a beautiful ceremony and party at the Weston Hills Country Club.  I was blessed to help organize this event from start to finish.  Here is a little teaser of some of the things we came up with. I'll gather more photos and post them soon.

Long lost post

Hi friends.

I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. Believe me...I've been plenty busy crafting and creating.

Most recently, I've been working on my niece's Quinceanera. For Hispanics, the Quinceanera celebration is a rite of passage from childhood to adulthood. It's a beautiful and meaningful ceremony.

Elizabeth is a sweet young woman and she planned her party around Beauty & the Beast. I'll post pics of the invitation later, but these are the table markers. I used spellbinders to make it look like a mirror. The flowers are stamping up.

More birthday cards

In keeping with the birthday theme, I'd like to share Damaris' s second card. This one also has a little notebook to go with it. I sure hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it. Birthday banner

My eldest sister is having a birthday soon. I made her two cards. The first is using stamping up ' Banner Blast stamp set. I used a tutorial from Christina Thomas to create it. 

 The paper is baked brown sugar. The inks are: baked brown sugar, crisp cantaloupe, coastal cabana and pistachio pudding.

Cassie's Frozen party

My daughter turns ten this week. She wanted a Frozen - themed party, so I got to work. I created a few cute things for our guests at the ice arena.

The mood was set by lovely invites created by my friend Zeni.

I created these snowman kits and these cute goody bags for the older kids. Each one has a Hershey bar wrapped in a Frozen themed wrapper, gumballs, and chips ahoy. These are strictly for the teens. I used Lovebug Creations winter grunge on this little bag. Super cute.

Superheroes

Hi friends.

It's been a while since I posted. I will share my journey later. Right now I want to share the favor boxes I made for my son's birthday this weekend. He chose a super heroes theme. The venue does not allow outside decorations, which is a bummer, but I decided to incorporate the theme into our party favors.

I visited Lisa at Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon and found these adorable super heroes.  She is amazing.  Please visit her at Pretty Paper Website. 

Because I am new to silhouette, I was not able to cut them as efficiently as I wanted, so I opted for the digital image instead. I used the curly label from My Creative Time. Inside, each child will find animal crackers.

Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone!

It's Monday and another day for me to post a project using the amazing Lovebug Creations.  Today I used Kisses from the Simply Sheer collection on this cute gift card holder that I made for my sister in law. She is a special lady!

The paper base is Stampin Up.  The DSP is also Stampin Up. I used the Embossed Gift Card Holder die from My Creative Time.  I printed her name on the computer and cut it out using the oval punch.  I had the slider in my embellishment stash and knew she would love it.

Happy birthday to Allison

Hi friends!

 Yesterday was my friend, Allison's, birthday.  She's a beautiful young woman who we always joke was switched at birth.  We are so much alike it's scary.  Well, I decided to make her a gift card holder for her Marshall's gift card.  There is no one more stylish than she is.  She truly is beautiful inside and out.

I used the beautiful I Love Grunge rumple ribbon from Lovebug Creations to decorate the front of this gift card holder.  It blended perfectly!
The cupcake is from Jaded Blossom and the paper is Recollections.
The base is Stampin Up Melon Mambo

Teacher Appreciation

Hi friends. It's Teacher Appreciation time. The school's PTA asked that I help with their gifts. This cute tag was made using Harvest Moon rumple ribbon by Lovebug Creations. I love the bright color.

Today the Lovebug Creations team celebrates a special birthday.  It's our Creative Team sister STEPHANIE's birthday.  I created this cute card using the new pastel rumple ribbon and Brown Mama's Mesh both from Lovebug Creations.  I sometimes like to iron the rumple ribbon and that's what I chose to do on this card.

Lovebug Creations - Lollipop Covers

Hi friends,

I wanted to make treats for friends who have helped me this week as I have been recovering, so I purchased some lollipops and made this lollipop cover using Envious rumple ribbon.  It has the same concept as a matchbox and it's suitable for a flat lollipop.  Enjoy!!

Happy birthday Kimi

Today we celebrare a special birthday at lovebug creations. Kimi, our fearless leader, is a very special and kind wkman. I cannot tell you how blessed I am to know her and to call her my friend. 

I made her this elegant card using Lovebug Creations new peach color rumple ribbon. It matches perfectly with the calypso coral ink from Stampin up.

Happy Easter

I recently acquired some Jaded Blossom stamps and this little owl was one of the images.  Now, I am not the greatest coloring papercrafter, but I promise it looks cuter in person.  I used brown Mama's Mesh and Envious green rumple ribbon on this little card.  I also added stickles and crystal effects to the eyes to make them shiny.  The eggs are also covered in stickles.  I popped up the owl with SU Dimensionals.

Sweet Thanks

It doesn't take a lot to say Thank You.  Today I made a small 3 x 3 card to say a sweet thanks.  I used one of the gorgeous new colors - Spring Lilac.  It is gorgeous!!!!  Please be sure to stop by the SHOP to pick up your new Spring collection.  I promise you, the ribbon colors are to die for.

I used several different items on this little card.  The stamp is Jaded Blossom.  I used stickles on the cupcake wrapper and cherry and Liquid Applique as the frosting...just to make it pop out some.  I used Pebbles chalk to chalk around the sentiment which I cut our using the large oval punch from Stampin Up.  The brad is also Stampin Up.  The paper is from my stash, but it's SU.  I sure hope you enjoyed this little card.

With Deepest Sympathy

Hi crafty friends!

A very dear friend lost her mom last week and I decided to make her a beautiful card.  I used black rumple ribbon from Lovebug Creations and left it rumpled up.  Sometimes I iron it out to make it more smooth, but this time I wanted the effect to be loose.  The base is Black from Stampin Up and the first layer and ink are both Raspberry Ripple.  I added some pretty rhinestones using my iRock tool from imaginisce.  I know that nothing will replace Elise's void, but maybe this card will give her peace knowing she has people who love her.

Hip Hip Hooray!

Hip Hip Hooray!  Jaded is my color today!  This cute picture frame has been glammed up using some precious Jaded Rumple Ribbon.  Love how well the ribbon blends with the craft paint I used on the frame.

Mama's Mesh Monday

I'm back from a brief moving hiatus.  I cannot tell you how much I missed my crafty space these last three weeks.
